Hi
I bought the Blue water 700, at first I was very impressed by the delicious water. Recently, the previously filtered water suddenly smells very strongly of chlorine and tastes unpleasant. I even threw away the last of the water. Where is the problem?
Kind regards
Andrew B
Hello Mr. B.
Thanks for your question. It seems that the chloride content in your water has changed, it happens, the tap water depends on many factors and rainfall.
You could reinsert the mineral ring provided, which should catalytically convert the hypochlorite created by the ionization from the chloride (salt) ion back into chloride, i.e. salt.
In your case, the hypochlorite is a natural disinfectant, which is created from the chloride ion (Cl-) through electrolysis. It is not poisonous and can be drunk. In terms of taste, your very sensitive taste organ, your tongue, can immediately detect the chlorine smell of hypochlorite, because water normally doesn't taste like anything.
In your case, without the mineral ring, your water is, so to speak, safely disinfected because the disinfectant, the hypochlorite, has not yet been used up. So it's not necessarily a bad thing...
These are the issues when you produce alkaline and acidic water without a membrane. Hence the special feature of flow ionizers, which separate alkaline and acidic water.
I hope I was able to help you, I look forward to hearing back. All the best, Yasin Akgün
