Vital Water Plus – what do you think of this product?

This is a typical OXY-Hydrogen device based on membrane-free electrolysis with 12 V/1,5 A

In addition, magnesium (metallic) is dissolved in water, releasing hydrogen. This must be regularly regenerated with acid because it oxidizes. What is also atypical is the simultaneous turbulence of the water and a magnet with 5400 Gauss.

The maximum hydrogen saturation of 1,2 ppm is reached after 10 minutes of operation.

The pH value of the water increases by approx. 2 pH due to the selected minerals and the outgassing of carbon dioxide during electrolysis.

At the same time, metallic magnesium, FIR ceramic balls and calcium beads are used to mineralize and chemically ionize the water. The exact composition is listed as a “manufacturer’s secret”. What is unusual compared to chemical water ionizers is a small swirler nozzle above the mineral ring, which is intended to distribute minerals better in the water.

The redox potential drops to approx. - 200 mV (CSE), mainly due to the dissolved hydrogen.

The behavior of a magnetic resonance measurement changes. However, these results are completely unstable and do not allow any conclusions to be drawn about smaller water clusters, as these constantly change within fractions of a second. These measurements are pseudoscientific. Both clusters are also relatively large. This is due to the unusual drinking temperature of 27 degrees C.

The pseudoscientific nature can also be seen in the image of a water channel in the cell membrane. Because these water channels (aquaporins) never allow water clusters to pass into the cell, but only individual water molecules.

The pseudoscientific nature is also evident in the claim of hexagonally structured water that would be produced by the device.
The cancer research of Dr. Won H. Kim is quoted in a completely wrong context.
They refer to water with calcium ions, which has more hexagonal rings around the ions due to its larger number of exclusion zones.
However, this does not make the water as a whole structured hexagonally.

The before and after ice crystals shown using Masaru Emoto's method are also unscientific.
According to Emoto's own statements, it is a free artistic selection of photos.
Ice crystals always become hexagonal. Depending on the freezing phase in which the photographer presses the shutter button, different images are created.
This has absolutely nothing to do with drinking water.

The 5400 Gauss magnet built into the device has a potentially improving influence on the water during electrolysis based on the principle of electromagnetic induction, which could result in better solubility of minerals, hydrogen and oxygen in the water. This is ultimately reflected in the results. However, the Kirlian photos of fingertips cited here cannot be traced back to this. They only show the stronger energy radiation that always occurs in the extremities after drinking water, the cause of which is the improved blood flow, which can also be demonstrated using other methods. These photos can also be achieved without using a magnet.

The manufacturer also uses dark field microscopic vital blood photos to illustrate the effect of the “Hydrogen Rich Alkaline Reduced Water” from the device. However, this is insufficient because drinking water in any form thins the blood. In the second picture you can also see that some of the blood cells are not yet repelling each other, so they have a lack of cell tension. There's just more fluid left.

In order to actually demonstrate the effect, you would have to have the same test subject drink a certain amount of a different water at the same time and in the same starting position (fasting).
Then you have to check the blood sample at the same time (preferably 10 minutes) after drinking. This is the only way to show that one water has a better effect than the other. This proof has been provided many times for alkaline activated water and is also presented in my book “Electrically activated water”.
However, I used alkaline activated water from a diaphragm ionizer. In any case, these two photos cannot prove whether it works significantly better with OXY-Hydrogen Water, which also contains oxygen, than with mineral water.

I would like to urgently point out the following differences between Oxy-Hydrogen Water (oxyhydrogen water) and alkaline activated water from a water ionizer:

There has only been 8 years of research into oxy-hydrogen water, which can also be produced by fumigation with hydrogen or chemical reagents. Alkaline activated water has been researched since 1931 and there is much more knowledge about it.

Nevertheless, it is certainly better to drink water from Vital water plus than regular water. Due to the comparatively simple technology, such devices are also cheaper to manufacture than classic water ionizers based on diaphragm electrolysis.

However, I find the mobile versions with a 5 V battery to be the better solution among these devices because they make it easy to produce better drinking water anywhere and on the go. Based on my experiments, I consider swirling and the use of a permanent magnet to be more of a marketing gimmick. The addition of minerals is not necessary for most Central European mineral and tap waters, as they are already sufficiently loaded with them. If necessary, you can easily add them in powder form to any mobile device.
