The Aquaphor A5 Mg+ filter cartridge is very similar to the B100-5 and B100-7 filter cartridge, except that it softens the water less. Therefore the pH-value can be a little higher.

This may be useful if you want to have more minerals in the water to improve the ionization of water, e.g. with the Hybrid Water Ionizer.

The size of the activated carbon particles that are in the Aquaphor filters are several times smaller than the activated carbon particles in traditional water filters. The smaller size of the particles helps the increment of the effective surface and speed of adsorption.

The combination of activated carbon, Aqualen® and ion exchange resin reduces the carbonate hardness and heavy metal ions that may be present in the water due to domestic water main installations, such as iron, cadmium, copper and lead. Taste disturbing substances, such as chlorine, are also removed and organic substances are also significantly reduced.

The water is ideal for preparing tea, coffee and cold drinks. The combination of activated carbon, Aqualen® and ion exchange resin also reduces the disadvantage of shifting the pH value into the acidic range!

The Aquaphor filter cartridges can absorb household odour and taste disturbing substances, organic substances, as well as heavy metals such as lead and copper and thus remove them from the water.
