AquaVolta® Nafion 117 Hydrogen Generator for the inhalation & infusion (gassing) of hydrogen gas (H2)

 

This newly designed hydrogen generator is state of the art in its field.

It uses the latest technology from DuPont, which means significant progress in efficiency, and promises a longer durability of the system.

This Micro-Electrode Array (MEA-SPE) technology is smaller yet more powerful than its predecessor SPE-PEM. This is because the membranes are arranged in such a way that they are more powerful and efficient. You get the purest 99.999% quality molecular hydrogen (just like the previous SPE H2 models).

Because of the MEA capability to produce more hydrogen with far less energy, you can expect your hydrogen generator to last longer and produce more H2.

DuPont's original breakthrough was the SPE / PEM (Solid Polymer Electrolyte / Proton Exchange Membrane). SPE / PEM guaranteed the purity of hydrogen production, whereas earlier hydrogen production processes were far from being as pure and healthy.

The MEA-SPE technology uses a series of proton exchange membranes stacked to achieve the best results.

The MEA-PEM (Proton Exchange Membrane) is currently the best version of the proton exchange membrane.

AquaVolta® Nafion 117 H2 Generator including an O2 output for inhalation of H2 & O2. The SPE / PEM electrodes of older generators were made of pure titanium.
However, this latest DuPont technology (MEA) used the highest quality platinum coated titanium electrodes from Japan. The H2 flow is up to 300 ml / min.

The AquaVolta® Nafion 117 is both a hydrogen gas generator and an H2 enriched water infuser. To produce hydrogen water, simply put the hose in a bottle of water for a few minutes and let it bubble or use the AquaVolta® Hydrogen Infuser, which is available separately.

 
 
 

Using the AquaVolta® Nafion 117 as an H2 inhalator

To set it up, first add double distilled water to the water tank. Fill it up between the lower and upper markings of the scale line on the front Water Level Indicator. Make sure that you use the funnel when filling. Spilling water into the machine itself can cause damage.

Please fill water and soak for about 30 minutes when you use it for the first time, because the electrolytic plate is dry in transit.

  • Remove the protective cover on the H2 outlet
  • Connect the nasal inhaler into this outlet
  • Connect the power cord to the power supply unit
  • Plug in the machine to an electrical outlet

Switching on the machine

  • Use the "Setting" button at the top of the machine to set the desired session time and flow rate.
  • Inhalation time: By pressing the setting button once, you can increase the session time in 10-minute increments up to a maximum of 180 minutes. After 180, another press brings it back to zero.
  • H2 flow rate: You can choose between "Low", "Medium" and "High" flow rates. Low produces H2 at about 100 parts per liter of airflow, Medium is about 200 and High goes up to about 300.
 
 
 

The way H2 inhalators work is that the nasal inhaler fits around your head and two probes fit loosely in the nostrils. When you inhale through your nose, the hydrogen that comes out of the inhaler mixes with the air that you breathe. Do not worry about additional hydrogen leaking from the inhaler. It simply acts as an antioxidant on your skin, ears, eyes, and/or humidifies the air around you. Use it in a well-ventilated room.

With the AquaVolta® Nafion 117 you can put a hose directly into a cup or bottle of water. After about 10 minutes, you will have fully saturated hydrogen water in your cup. It may take longer to saturate a full bottle. Once the water is saturated with hydrogen, it is as stable as any other method of producing H2 water.

If water is spilled from the water tank in the machine, the AquaVolta® Nafion 117 may be damaged from the inside. If you think you have done this inadvertently, leave the machine disconnected from the power supply as long as you believe that the spilled water can evaporate.

It is not recommended to move the machine much when the water tank is full. There are handles on both sides of the AquaVolta® Nafion 117 to transport the machine. Try to keep the water tank fairly straight when it is filled with water.

Do not turn the machine on its side if the tank contains water.

Caution: Only use distilled water and do not allow the membrane to dry out

For hydrogen machines, the type of water shall be zero TDS-PPM. For this reason you may only use double distilled water.

The other thing to look out for is the membrane that produces the hydrogen, which can dry out if the machine is not used for several months. If you ever allow this to happen, simply follow the cleaning instructions below.

Regular cleaning instructions

If the flow rate to your inhaler decreases, the most likely cause is that solids dissolved in water have come into contact with the electrodes. The electrodes should then be cleaned as follows.

  • Step 1: Drain the water
  • Step 2: Prepare 75 ml of medical alcohol, mix it with 1500 ml of distilled water, then pour into the water tank and let it soak for 2 minutes
  • Step 3: Check if the H2 flow increases. Once the normal flow rate is reached, drain the mixture of alcohol and distilled water and fill the water tank with pure distilled water.

Note: The MEA-PEM membrane has been tested and is guaranteed to produce pure H2 for 5000 hours.

That's 5,000 days (about 14 years) if you use it for one hour a day! Clinics or therapy practices that use the AquaVolta® Nafion 117 for 8 to 10 hours a day would have to replace the MEA-PEM membrane after about 2 years.
