Citric Acid to Descale 500g

The citric acid is used to descale ionizers and other household appliances. From our point of view it still is the most gentle descaler, which does not have too high (=low acidity) of a pH level and is also food-safe, therefore not harmful to the human body. Only when in contact with the skin or eyes it can irritate. That is not the case with something like sulphamic acid for example or most other descalers. Some of these ionizer descalers have a pH value of under pH2, which can be quite dangerous to housewifes or househusbands.

You are much better off using a higher dose of citric acid with a lot of water, instead of using some aggressive and hazardous descalers. Small splashes are unavoidable when descaling your ionizer, hence you should position the outlet of the ionizer as close as possible to the container with the descaler solution and the submersible pump.
