Test Molecular Dissolved Hydrogen Content (H2) from an Undersink Ionizer and Hydrogen Booster

Functional tests of molecularly dissolved hydrogen content (H2) by researcher Karl Heinz Asenbaum

Dear Ms P.
Your water sample and the booster with your drops have now arrived with me. First I checked your drops. They are perfectly fine.

The results of the test of the molecularly dissolved hydrogen content in the treated water:

Type of waterDüsseldorf stripped 3′ + 5′
Capacity liters0,55
 Total time sec. 480,00
 Result ppm 0,9
mg/min.0,0619
Method3′ open, 5′ closed full
Type of waterDrinking water Munich stripped 3′ + 5′
Capacity liters0,55
 Total time sec.780,00
 Result ppm 1,5
mg/min.0,0635
Method3′ open, 5′ + 5′ closed full

H2/hydrogen yield in ppb (parts per billion)

The tests were carried out at a current air pressure of 1012,7 hPa and show a normal result. My own Blue 900 delivered even less.

First, strip for 3 minutes with the cap open. Then fill it to capacity for 5 or 10 minutes with the lid closed.

If your water comes from Stadtwerke Düsseldorf, the hydrogen carbonate content is 220 mg/l.

For comparison: Volvic has 71 mg/l, Gerolssteiner Naturell 652 mg/l, Evian 360 mg/l, Munich tap water 321,3.

Hydrogen carbonate is the salt of carbonic acid, which is formed by the presence of carbon dioxide in water. Water rich in hydrogen carbonate can only be saturated with hydrogen after the carbon dioxide and other water gases such as oxygen and nitrogen have been expelled.

The content of water gases also depends on the air pressure: the higher the pressure, the more atmospheric gases dissolve in the water. Düsseldorf, at 38 m above sea level, generally has a higher air pressure than Munich, which is over 500 m above sea level. Therefore, it is particularly advantageous in low-lying areas to first drive the other gases out of the water by "stripping" with hydrogen. This usually requires 3 minutes of open operation. After that, more hydrogen can be dissolved. For your water, 3 minutes of stripping + 2 x 5 minutes closed is the optimal method.

It is always important to fill the vessel completely, as this is how the highest hydrogen pressure is built up. By mentioning the word "shaking" in your email, I would like to make the following note:

The sample to be measured must not be shaken, only stirred, unlike James Bond. Shaking not only causes the dissolved hydrogen to evaporate, but unwanted oxygen also gets into the water. The best way to stir is to use a straw and stir very slowly without waving. Please tell me and Mr. Akgün what should happen to the booster now.

Answer from Ms. P. after she then tested the hydrogen content more professionally

Dear Mr. Akgün, dear Mr. Asenbaum,

After all the requests, detours and inconveniences, I would like to thank you today with a success report

the Elegance achieves 0,4 PPM; With the additional boosting the value is 1 PPM (3 minutes with the booster open and twice 5 minutes with the closed one)

Thanks to Mr. Asenbaum's advice that the test liquid should not be shaken but stirred, the error was due to incorrect handling of the blue-kit test.

A kind of “anti-James Bond” approach is required: “not shaken, but stirred” is the solution 🙂

I thank you for your patience and all the effort that my “water processes” brought with them –

Good thing wants to have time

Warm greetings from Düsseldorf

Anne P
