All FAQ's about the H2 Turbo Booster for producing hydrogen-rich drinking water

1. How do I optimally use the H2 Turbo Booster to achieve high hydrogen levels in the treated water?

  1. Fill the water to just below the lid to the start of the thread, after the taper begins, close it and start the electrolysis.
  2. After a total run time of 5 minutes you can expect over 3-4 ppm of molecularly dissolved hydrogen.
  3. The water can stand for up to 1 hour before being consumed.
  4. Refill soon after drinking and start the 5 minute electrolysis process again.
  5. Repeat from step 1 if necessary.

2. How do I store the H2 Turbo Booster when not in use?

Daily use and short-term storage

For daily use and shorter breaks in use, please note the following:

  • Under a week: If the device is not being used for less than a week, it can be stored empty and with the lid closed.
  • Prepare overnight: Optionally, you can fill the device completely overnight, start the electrolysis and then let the electrolysis run again for 5 minutes the next morning before drinking or drink directly.
  • Longer than 12 hours: If the device is left for more than 12 hours but less than a week, it should preferably be stored without water and with the lid closed.

If the membrane dries out, this will not harm its function. It simply needs to be soaked again, similar to the first time you used it, to make the device fully usable again.

3. Is the H2 Turbo Booster suitable for all types of water?

Yes, the H2 Turbo Booster is suitable for all types of water, including tap, reverse osmosis and distilled water. It is important that the water does not contain carbon dioxide, otherwise the overall gas pressure could increase too much.

4. What material are the electrodes used made of?

The electrodes are made of titanium and coated with platinum. The electrode at the top, which is in contact with the water, breaks down calcium, definitely does not break down. Therefore, depending on usage, you have to descale the device with citric acid every 4-12 weeks

5. What should I do if the booster is leaking?

1. Typical cause: Checking the leak

  • Locating the Leak: First, determine where the leak is occurring. Pay particular attention to the connection between the production vessel and the generator.
Replacing the container: If the leak is detected at this connection point, immediately replace the production container with one of the replacement containers provided.

2. Very rare cause: Focused inspection of the seal

  • Targeted inspection: Only inspect the generator seal thoroughly if a leak is detected or you suspect a defect. Since a seal failure is very rare, routine replacement is usually not necessary.
  • Targeted replacement: Only replace the seal if actual damage is evident. If there is a defect in the seal, use the supplied replacement seal for replacement. Make sure that the new seal is inserted correctly to ensure optimal functionality of the booster.

6. Why are 4 replacement bottles or pressure pistons included in the package?

  • The replacement bottles included are reserve high-pressure bottles. Over time, a bottle can become leaky, which can be recognized by water leaking between the bottle and the H2 generator.
  • Bottles can also get scratches. The replacement bottles ensure uninterrupted use of the H2 Turbo Booster.

7. How and why do I clean the Tritan container & the electrodes of the H2 Turbo Booster if there are limescale deposits?

Regular cleaning is necessary to remove limescale deposits and maintain the device's optimal bubble performance. Visible traces of limescale or a decreasing bubble performance are signs that cleaning is necessary.

Depending on the usage intervals and, above all, the mineral content of the source water used, you should descale the H2 Turbo Booster and pressure piston approximately every 1 to 3 months.

  • Prepare cleaning solution: Dissolve 1 teaspoon of citric acid in water and pour this solution into the Tritan container. The filling quantity should be exactly up to the taper of the container, not above it. The water should not touch the lid by approximately 5mm or more
  • Start the cleaning process: Close the screw cap and allow the citric acid solution to work for 30 minutes.
  • If the bladder performance decreases, you can carry out descaling with activated electrolysis. Start the 5-minute program after adding the citric acid solution and let the solution sit for 30 minutes.
  • Rinse thoroughly: Rinse the container with lid and the electrode several times with warm water.

8. How do I perform a thorough cleaning of the safety valve in the lid?

Fill the container and start the program: Fill the container to the brim with water, screw on the lid and run the 10-minute program. During this process, drops of water will appear on the lid, which will flush the safety valve in the lid.

9. Why doesn't the LED on the H2 Turbo Booster light up?

1. Checking the battery:

  • Check whether the booster battery is fully charged. If the battery is empty, connect the booster with the included USB-C cable to charge it. Wait until charging is complete and then check again if the LED is on.

2. Checking the charging accessories:

  • Check whether there may be a defect in the charging cable or power supply. Test charging with a different USB-C cable and power adapter to see if that resolves the issue.
  • Note: Avoid using fast charging power adapters or fast charging USB-C cables as they may be incompatible with the booster and affect functionality.
  • Final step: If the LED still does not light after checking the battery and charging accessories, there may be a deeper technical problem. For further assistance, contact customer service at service@aquacentrum.de or use the hotline: +4989416117992.

10. Can the H2 generator also be used with larger bottles?

Yes, but there are specific instructions for this. To use the booster with a plastic bottle (note: glass bottles are not allowed due to possible uncontrolled pressure build-up), follow these steps:

    1. Screw the included adapter onto the bottle.
    2. Fill the bottle to the brim with water.
    3. Screw the booster onto the bottle as a “lid” and place it on the H2 Turbo Booster.
    4. Allow the device to run for approximately 10-15 minutes per pint of water. Be careful not to build up excessive pressure. Feel the pressure regularly to ensure it is comparable to the pressure in bicycle tires.
    5. For efficiency and simplicity, it is recommended to use the included 250ml pressure piston with pressure relief valve.

11. What follow-up costs arise when using the H2 Turbo Booster?

There are minimal follow-up costs when using our product. These are limited to purchasing citric acid, which is needed every 4 to 12 weeks for descaling. A teaspoon citric acid per cleaning process is sufficient. There are no further costs, such as maintenance or spare parts.

12. What to do if the H2 Turbo Booster does not work or develops no or fewer bubbles?

1. Checking the battery:

  • Make sure the booster battery is fully charged. If the battery is empty, please charge it with the included USB-C cable.

2. Checking the charging accessories:

  • Check if there is a problem with the charging cable or power adapter. Try charging the device with a different USB-C cable and power adapter.
  • Note: Do not use a fast charging power adapter or a fast charging USB-C cable as they may not be compatible.

3. Limescale deposits:

  • Check the booster for limescale deposits. Limescale can affect H2 bubble formation during electrolysis and reduce efficiency.
  • If limescale affects the H2 bubble formation, use citric acid to descale the booster. You can find the exact instructions in our descaling FAQ. This step is crucial to restoring the device to optimal function.

If these steps did not resolve the issue, it could indicate a deeper technical issue. In this case, we recommend contacting customer service for further assistance.

13. How long does the H2 Turbo Booster battery last and how is it charged?

  • The H2 Turbo Booster's battery has a capacity of 1500mAh and allows for a running time of around 120 minutes, which is equivalent to producing around 6 liters of hydrogen water with one battery charge.
  • The booster is charged via a USB-C cable and can also be operated directly from the USB-C power supply.
  • Charging time is approximately 180 minutes. Fast charging is not allowed to protect battery life.

14. Do I need special bottles to transport the treated water?

You can pour the treated H2 water into any bottle. Our product is equipped with a bottle adapter that gives you the freedom to use any type of plastic bottle of your choice. For optimal use, we recommend transporting the water in a separate bottle and using the H2 Turbo as a “smart” drinking glass on site.

15. Why does water come out of the lid?

The H2 Turbo Booster is equipped with a special safety valve in the lid that protects the booster and the pressure piston from overpressure. Here are the details why water may leak from the lid:

1. Avoid overcrowding:

If the pressure vessel is filled via the mark at the start of the thread after taper, the water surface may touch the lid during hydrogen production. This can result in water instead of air or hydrogen gas escaping through the small hole in the lid.

2. Safety valve function:

The safety valve in the lid opens at a pressure of 4 bar to protect the generator from overpressure. At this pressure, a hydrogen content of 4 to 5 ppm can be expected. The valve allows water to escape to regulate pressure and ensure safe use.

Suggestion:

To prevent water from escaping from the safety valve, only fill the H2 Turbo Booster up to the specified thread start. This avoids contact of the water with the lid and prevents it from escaping through the safety valve.
